Architecture & Design Photography — Project Questionnaire

Thank you for completing this questionnaire before the quotation and shoot are confirmed. It allows the production, licensing, shot list and post-production requirements to be defined clearly in advance.

This service is intended for high-end architecture and interior photography. Each photograph is carefully composed, lit and retouched. It is not a high-volume real-estate workflow in which dozens or hundreds of angles are photographed for later selection.

A full shooting day normally produces up to 10 completed final images, depending on the size of the property, complexity of the compositions, lighting conditions, styling requirements and access.

01. Project information

Current status of the project *
Is the project subject to an announcement, launch, publication date or embargo? *

02. Commissioning client

03. Number of final images

A full shooting day normally produces a maximum of approximately 10 completed images. More images may require additional shooting days.

04. Shot list and angle approval

The photography is created through a controlled process. Angles are composed and approved during the shoot rather than photographed indiscriminately for later selection.

Will the authorised approver be present for the entire shoot? *
  • The authorised representative must approve the required angles while the photographer is on location.
  • The shoot is not based on photographing 50–100 speculative angles and choosing the final images afterward.
  • Unapproved or additional angles requested after the shoot may require a new shoot and additional fees.
  • If the authorised representative does not attend, the photographer will proceed using professional judgement and the resulting compositions will be considered approved.
  • A reshoot caused by the absence of the authorised representative, internal disagreement or a later change of preference is not included in the original fee.

05. Companies using the images

Each company using the images must be identified before licensing is quoted. Payment for the photography by one company does not automatically grant usage rights to every company involved in the project.
Include the commissioning client, architect, designer, developer, contractor, operator, hotel, suppliers, consultants, PR agencies and other project partners.
Will any third party need to purchase a separate licence later? *

06. Single point of contact

Where several companies are involved, one person must coordinate approvals and feedback.

07. Intended image usage

Please select every intended use *
Territory of use *
Required licence duration *

08. Image format and orientation

Are specific crops or formats required for social media, publication or advertising? *

09. Styling and site readiness

The client is responsible for presenting the property in a finished, clean and photographable condition before the photographer arrives.

  • All construction work must be completed.
  • Floors, walls, windows, mirrors, glass, metal, stone and other visible surfaces must be professionally cleaned.
  • Windows must be free from dust, sand, fingerprints, water marks, adhesive residue and construction dirt.
  • Furniture must be positioned correctly and decorative elements properly arranged.
  • Packaging, tools, cables, rubbish bins, cleaning equipment and personal belongings must be removed.
  • Protective film, stickers, labels and construction tape must be removed.
  • Visible defects and damaged furniture should be repaired where possible.
  • Installed lights must work and use matching colour-temperature bulbs.
  • Exterior areas, terraces, pools and landscaping must be clean and prepared.
  • Access to every requested area must be available at the agreed time.
Important: Routine photographic retouching does not include rebuilding unfinished spaces or extensively correcting dirty or heavily stained windows, construction defects, damaged surfaces, missing fixtures, untidy rooms, incorrect furniture placement, extensive reflections caused by unprepared spaces, or large quantities of unwanted objects. Additional cleaning, compositing or reconstruction may be declined or quoted separately.

10. Interior styling responsibility

Who is responsible for styling and preparing the space? *
Will this person be present during the shoot? *

11. Access and logistics

Include the location contact and telephone, confirmed access time, parking/loading arrangements, permits, restricted shooting hours, whether the property will remain operational or occupied, and any expected interruptions or access restrictions.

12. Lighting and building systems

Which of the following can be controlled during the shoot? *

13. Exterior photography

Are exterior images required? *
Preferred conditions
Is the building façade free from parked vehicles, temporary signage, barriers and construction materials?
Are public-access restrictions or municipal permits involved?

14. People and operational activity

Should people appear in the photographs? *

15. Post-production

Standard post-production includes colour correction, perspective correction, tonal balancing, removal of minor temporary distractions and detailed finishing appropriate for luxury architecture and design photography.
Are there any special post-production requirements? *
Include specific retouching requirements, permanent architectural elements expected to be removed or altered digitally, CGI/renderings available, or exact colour-matching requirements.

16. Revisions and feedback

  • One authorised representative will submit a single consolidated list of requested revisions.
  • Feedback must clearly identify each image and requested change.
  • Revisions resulting from a change in the original brief may incur additional fees.
  • Requests to create new compositions or substantially alter furniture, finishes, lighting or architecture are not considered standard revisions.
  • Reshoots caused by site condition, unfinished work, weather, access problems, absent decision-makers or a later change of preference are quoted separately.

17. References and creative direction

Architectural drawings, floor plans, project presentations, CGI renderings, previous photography, mood boards, brand guidelines, mandatory shot references, publication layouts or advertising formats.

18. Final acknowledgement
